The parts of a technology plan are:
· Mission:
The Mission explains what the school or organization wants to present.
· Vision:
The Vision is the goal of district or organization.
Shared Values:
Shared Values contain values and objectives that are shared between Mission and Vision of district or organization.
· Needs Assessment:
The Needs Assessment includes the needs of the school district that are identified by using technology survey.
· Goals and Strategies:
Goals and Strategies contain the goals of the school or organization. Also, Goals and Strategies include detailed strategies to achieve these goals.
Staff Development:
The Staff Development explains the district’s way in preparing the staff to use the new technology effectively.
· Budget:
The Budget is the most important part of technology plan where it shows income and expenses of the school or organization.
· Monitoring:
The Monitoring shows the person who will manage the implementation of the new technology.
. Evaluation:
The Evaluation explains the district’s way in collecting information that will be used to evaluate the effectiveness of the new technology.
I believe that a technology plan is beneficial because it can help the school or organization in purchasing new technologies effectively without any financial losses. Also, the technology plan helps the school or organization to identify the needs of students and the technologies that school or organization needs. When the school or organization utilizes information from the technology plan will save a lot of money, and it will chose new technologies that will be appropriate for students.

Blog Assignment 4 - Network Operations
Does the educational system that you are affiliated with offer a shared storage area on the network for students or faculty?------Do you find this beneficial?
I am student at Wilkes University and, the educational system that I am affiliated with offer a shared storage area on the network for students and faculty. I think that this storage drives are very beneficial for students and instructors. I usually use this storage drives to save huge files that I download from the Internet to use them in my different classes. I also use this storage drives to save my presentations and homework, and I can print them out any time I want. There is a good point about this storage drives is that students can use them from any computers outside or inside the university but students should be connect to the university network .
Before reading charper 4 in Frazier and Bailey, were you familiar with Acceptable Use Policies, (AUP's)?--------Have you ever signed or collected one? Does your educational system enforce AUP's?
I am currently taking information security class, and I have taken some information about Acceptable Use Policies through this class. I think that Acceptable Use Policies is useful because it manages student and teacher use of technology, devices and networks. Wilkes University has Acceptable Use Policies but they don’t enforce students to sign it, and I have not signed or collected any Acceptable Use Policies.
What type of Email System does your educational system implement? Do you use this mail system at school?.......from home? explain.....
Wilkes University uses a client-based e-mail system for students. I usually use this e-mail to communicate with my instructors and classmates and to know the new news about Wilkes University. The most important part that I learned from reading this chapter is the remote-management tool. By using these tools, a technology coordinator can solve network problems often without site visit. Also, the technology coordinator can use these tools to monitor the network to avoid any service interruptions and increase network performance. Desktop Support
After reading this chapter, I have learned many things. Technology coordinators are responsible for purchasing the technology that the school and district will use. Technology coordinators are responsible determining specifications of equipment with users. There is a good point that is how Technology coordinators can reduce financial losses in buying equipment.
Before reading this chapter, I have never heard about bidding and how does it work. A formal bid request describes the specifications of the item to be purchased. Also, bidding can help us to reduce financial losses in buying equipment.
When technology coordinators want to purchase software, they have to find the best price and software that can work on all computers. There are two ways that technology coordinators can use them to buy equipment. Technology coordinators can buy equipment that includes software. The advantage here is that capital outlay funds. The other way is that they can buy the equipment separately from the programs. Technology coordinators should look at price options. Most manufactures have academic licensing programs that can help technology coordinators to reduce financial costs.

The Software Selection Form
I was a teacher in my country for one year only, and I have not seen the software selection form used in my school. I think that this form has been used in our schools but in an informal setting.
I believe that the software selection form is very useful for all parties prior to purchasing any software. Use of technology in education became more important and necessary to improve the level of students and to make the learning process more fun and useful. Use of the software selection form helps schools administrators to avoid a lot of material losses by identifying the needs of teachers and students. In addition, dealing of teachers with software selection form will make them able to select the best software that can assist them to improve the level of students. From this form teachers will have good experience about the software which will be used in classroom and thus ensure the benefit for students. Therefore, we should use the software selection form because it is important to success the use of technology in education.

The First Class
In the first class, we talked about many points. At the beginning of class, each student talked about him/herself. In this class, I learned the difference between Wiki and Blog via video from the teachertube.com. I really enjoyed this video because it was simple and easy to understand. After that, we divided into two groups, each group has an article. Our article was talking about Digital leadership Divide. This article was talking about the same problem which we are suffering in my country where there are a lot of technologies, provided by the government for each school, but the problem is that there is no good budget and no good planning. Then, we discussed our article with other group. In the end of class, the teacher explained to us what we will study in this class and how we can submit our assignments.
